Wood Burning Art (Dawn Cannady) – Everyone will need to purchase their own wood-burner tool. To keep cost down as much as possible, the students will need to purchase 2 or 3 larger wood projects (clock, small trunk, etc.) for the last few classes. I will purchase some small projects and scraps of wood for the training. This class is offered at the same time as Science Fair as an alternate class. There is a class fee of $10, plus project costs.

Science Fair (Jamie Saunders, Lori Evans) – This is a combined class with the 13-18 year-old age group. Science fair class should be free with the exception of art materials , poster board or tri-board- to put the visual project together. This class is a GUIDE for parents and students to complete their own end of year science project. Parents will need to assist at home as needed for their student. Research and time putting the project together will happen at home - not during this class. I would like the students to bring some paper and pen to take some notes and start brainstorming and then they will need a composition notebook to use for their research and experimentation. We will have you and your student begin by coming up with topics of interest for their Science Project. We will be displaying the projects the evening of The Odyssey. This class is offered at the same time as Wood Burning Art as an alternate class. There is no class fee except for supplies for the student's specific project.
