Who Are We?

We are a volunteer, non-profit, tax-exempt [501(c)3] organization formed for the purpose of facilitating, enhancing, and supporting the academic, physical, and social endeavors of home educators and students. Specifically, we are a support group for home schooling families in the Americus and surrounding areas.
Academically, we provide weekly workshops (including such topics as P.E., sewing, drama, speech, etc.) each semester to enhance our children's schooling experience. We also plan educational field trips and other academic functions.
Physically, we support our children by providing physical education and other athletic avenues (such as basketball team, field day, etc.). We also support each other emotionally and financially as a family.
Socially, we provide monthly support meetings and park days where both children and adults can meet and discuss various issues (homeschooling and non-homeschooling). Throughout the year, we host social events for mothers and teens. We also have an extensive E-mail loop for continuous contact outside of meeting times as well as a Yahoo! Group Site for posting of information for our members.

If you would like to be a member, please look under the Membership section from the menu above or e-mail us for more information.
